Obstacles in slow motion

You might be wondering why we are working with obstacles and in addition in a slow manner. These challenges are aiming to increase the coordination, concentration and self-awareness of your dog. In addition as you are guiding your dog and support it when a situation is more demanding, the bond between the team deepens. Why slow motion? Well surely we want to avoid accidents. But also some dogs need more time to build up the confidence to walk on a different surface or to climb on an obstacle they do not know. And of course the dog should be given the time to realise what is happening.
